Samosa Tot with Butter Sauce


A gluten-friendly take on a samosa. This stuffed tot is served with an Indian-Style Butter Sauce for dipping.

Ingreadient

    • 1 qt.    Water, hot, 180°F
    • 15.5 oz.    Idahoan® Shred Tater Tumblers® Unseasoned Mix (1/2 bag)
    • 2 c    Peas, cooked, cool
    • 1/2 c.    Cilantro, chopped
    • 2 qts.     True Foundations® Indian-Style Butter Sauce
    • 2 c.    Cilantro, leaves, torn (garnish)

Direction

    1. Carefully pour hot water into a mixing bowl and pour in the tot mix, stirring to combine.
    2. Let stand for 10 minutes.
    3. Stir in peas and cilantro.
    4. Form into tots with a #60 scoop and arrange on sheet pans to store covered in the cooler.
    5. At service time, fry in a pre-heated deep fryer for 1-2 minutes in batches.
    6. Carefully drain in a serrated pan or on wire racks.
    7. Ladle a small 1 oz. ladle of hot Indian-Style Butter Sauce onto the tasting plate.
    8. Top with a hot samosa tot and top with a cilantro leaf garnish.
